Barrie trained as a Mechanical Engineer and his field of expertise incorporates: Foundry Plant, Coal Handling Plant, Sugar Plant, Packaging handling, food machinery and specialist snack food industry.

Equipment used includes screw conveyors, elevators, belt and vibratory conveyors, gravity track layout.

Hobbies include vintage motorcycles, golf and clay pigeon shooting for which Barrie has a Class A classification

Judith H Cox, Financial Director and Company Secretary (back to top)

Judi was one of the founding entrepreneurs of the business in 1973. She is responsible for the financial management of the company and all aspects of the company secretarial function and overseas the day to day administration of Cox and Plant Products Ltd.

In the last year, Judi has introduced a new financial system to the company to streamline all order processing and materials purchasing.

Originally trained as a Medical Secretary, Judi also had several years training as a nurse at Dudley Road Hospital.

Judi's hobbies include swimming, windsurfing, water-skiing.

Andrew M Cox, Commercial Director (back to top)

Andrew worked for Royal Insurance which has now merged with Sun Alliance as Head of Department, dealing with all areas of underwriting and Andy also dealt with special claims to widen his knowledge.

In 1993 Andy joined the family business, responsible for sales and marketing. Since this time, the company has started exporting to Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. Andy has introduced formal marketing planning systems as well as moving the company into the electronic age with a new website and online spares ordering system.

Living in Kinver, Andy's hobbies include swimming and running. Andy also holds an Equity Card and has appeared in several BBC productions (One Foot in the Grave, Grange Hill, Eastenders and Acquilla).
