Cox & Plant have designed a highly efficient motorised drum which is central to the effective handling of block frozen product prior to processing.

• No Mounting platforms, guards, chains or sprockets etc. required
• No greasing or adjustment of moving parts required
• Continuously rated with a design life of 50,000 hours
• Only maintenance is a 20,000 hour oil change taking a few minutes
• Complete system included in one purchase order
• Installation via two mounting brackets and electrical supply. No gear alignment or chain adjustment necessary.
• Requires minimum space affording greater flexibility of conveyor design
• Computer generated gear and stator casting design, resulting in lighter stronger castings offering greater resistance to deflection from belt tension
• High carbon steel or alternatively stainless steel shafts with hardness of 2000 improve seal life and dynamic friction by 50%
• The euro standard stator - rotor is wound to class F, is energy efficient and incorporates a full 360º stator lamination giving greatly improved heat dissipation
• Superfinish gears in 2 stage and 3 stage helical gear boxes give 5% higher efficiency than ground gears without the cost. Superfinish gives no metal to metal contact and allows the use of lighter lubricating oils thereby reducing motor friction and heat

DESIGN

• Complies with CE EMC LVD legislation
• No grease or oil on chains, bearings or couplings
• Available in total stainless steel construction for food, drinks and pharmaceutical handling and processing
• Totally enclosed construction with gears manufactured to DIN 6 class giving very low noise levels (57 dba) that eliminate excess noise
• IP67 sealing proofing our drums against damage, incorporating metal cases PTFE seals capable of operating in the range of -20ºC to 250ºC to withstand regular steam cleaning wash down.
• Option to be fitted with a variable speed controller.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

The Cox and Plant Motorised Drum is manufactured from all stainless steel and supplied with a bead blast finish, facilitating lifetime free maintenance.
