Efficient Metal Detecting 

Why scrap a finished product when you can detect inline? Why reject 10 seconds production for 1 particle of ferrous when our system allows the rejected product to have a second pass through the line reducing rejected products by 96%.

To accommodate wrap-around metal detectors we utilise a combination of polypropylene (under the metal detector) and stainless steel. When metal is detected a gate opens removing the rejected product in a split second. Our recommendation is all rejected product is retained and added back to the line at the end of the production run to maximise yield and increase ROI.

Metal is one of the most commonly found contaminants in food production. There are three main groups of metal that a food metal detector can detect:

  • Ferrous
  • Non-Ferrous
  • Stainless Steel detection (dependant on the magnetic capabilities of the contaminant)
